Kohima, February 4 (MExN): General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff arrived in Kohima on February 3. He was received at the helipad by Major General PC Nair, IG Assam Rifles (North), stated a release from PRO (Defence).
During the visit, General Bipin Rawat reviewed the security situation in Nagaland and also along the Indo- Myanmar border. The Army Chief was briefed by Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) on the overall security situation in Nagaland.
He was accompanied by Lieutenant General MM Naravane, General Officer, Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command and Lieutenant General Rajeev Sirohi, General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps.
