Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): In continuance of the ‘Hindi Day’ observed on September 14, ARTC & S celebrated Hindi Pakhwara (fortnight) with effect from September 12-26.
Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant Colonel Bhavana Sharma, Staff Officer – 1 (Education) of ARTC & S stressed on the use of Hindi in official correspondence in accordance with the policy issued by the Government of India. She also highlighted the importance of the official language and appealed all the employees to contribute their best to spread awareness on use of Rajbhasha Hindi as official language across the country.
A press release by Bhavana Sharma Lieutenant Colonel SO-1 (Edn) stated that in order to promote Hindi amongst the other ranks, five main value based events were organized- Hindi Typing, Noting-Drafting, Essay Writing, Poem Recitation and Speech competition at Shokhuvi Garrison from September 20-22.
