Meluri, January 7 (MExN): The Assam Rifles have claimed the arrest of 6 cadres during an operation in Meluri town on January 5. According to a defence press release, from the six, two of the cadres are from the NSCN (K) while the other four are from the GPRN/NSCN. The NSCN (K) functionaries included one Lt. Col. and a Captain, the release added. One carbine machine gun (CMG), two pistols, ammunition of various calibers and one hand grenade along with various incriminating documents, Spasmoproxyvon tablets and uniforms were recovered from the possession of the cadres, the AR claimed. The six cadres along with recovered arms and ammunition were handed over to Police Station Phek for further investigation.
