Assembly adjourned sine-die

The first session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) which began on March 13 was adjourned sine die today by NLA speaker Er. Vikho-o Yhoshu after completing all the proceedings of the House. The last day session ended at around 9:30 PM here.  

The Nagaland Appropriation (No. I & 2) Bill, 2018, which was moved for introduction and consideration, has been passed on the floor of the House. The First Bill authorized for withdrawal of Rs. 2074.48 crore from and out of the consolidated fund of the state of Nagaland for the financial year 2017-2018 for payment and appropriation the services of the year ending on the March 31, 2018. The Nagaland Appropriation (No. 2) Bill, 2018 authorized payment and appropriation of Rs.18315.76 crore for the financial year 2018-2019 for year ending on the March 31, 2019.  

The last day of the assembly proceedings also witnessed Zhaleo Rio elected unopposed as deputy speaker NLA, laying of annual administrative reports 2017-18, passing of Nagaland Road Safety Authority Act, 2013 (1st Amendment) Bill 2018, discussion and voting on Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2017-18 and 2018-19, general discussion on the budget for the year 2018-19, announcement of various financial and non-financial committees and panel of chairmen for 2018-19.
