Peren, November 7 (MExN): The new Police Station building of Athibung, Peren was inaugurated by LL Doungel, IPS, Director General of Police, Nagaland on November 6, in the presence of Senior Police Officers, District Administration, Leaders of Kuki Inpi and ZKPO, Chairman, Secretary and GBs of neighboring villages.
The Superintendent of Police, Peren in a press release stated that the DGP in his address mentioned that the present of Police is not only to prevent crime and maintain Law & Order but also to provide safe and secure environment so that development activities can take place without hindrance. He appeal to the general public of Athibung circle to extend co-operation to the police so that there can be understanding and good team work for the benefit and progress of the area.
The DGP also expressed hope that the new facilities in the Police Station building will improve the functioning of Police in the days to come.
