ATMA Dimapur conduct Dist Farmers Advisory Committee meeting

Dimapur, August 8 (MExN): ATMA Dimapur conducted the District Farmers Advisory Committee meeting at ATMA training hall on August 3. The meeting was chaired by Tonikali, DPD. The chairperson introduced the ATMA block functionaries to the District Farmers Advisory Committee members, stated a press release issued by Atoi Sema, DAO & PD-ATMA, Dimapur.  

The meeting was basically conducted to make the DFAC members aware of the ongoing activities at the block and district level and to get necessary feedbacks. The members were also informed that meeting are also carried out at block levels at timely intervals by the Block Farmers Advisory Committee to ensure improvisation and required feedback for better implementation of the scheme.  

The activities carried out at Niuland and Chumukedima blocks for the year 2017-18 was highlighted by the respective Block Technology Managers Demalu Hasnusa and Chubanaro by giving powerpoint presentations on the conducted activities. The activities focused on the demonstrations, trainings, newly inaugurated farm schools, joint visits, food security groups etc.  

During the meeting progressive farmer and DFAC member Toluvi also shared his experience with the ATMA team during the recently conducted Interstate Farmers Training programme at Sonapur.
