ATMA Dimapur inaugurates Poultry Farm School

Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): ATMA Dimapur, Kuhuboto Block inaugurated Poultry Farm School on August 12 at Loving God Bible College, Khehokhu village with Nikato as a farm teacher. With an objective to disseminate extension technology and to impart knowledge on various trainings of agri and allied sector, a poultry farm school was inaugurated under the initiative of ATMA Kuhuboto Block on August 12 at Khehokhu village.  

Firstly, the principal of the college gave a welcome address and also thanked the ATMA team kuhuboto block for conducting such kind of programme in their college. Akavi Holo, BTM (ATMA), Kuhuboto Block gave a brief highlight on the activities of ATMA conducted under kuhuboto block. He also elaborated on the functioning and role of ATMA under Dimapur district where it plays an important role in disseminating technical extension knowledge to the farmers through trainings and demonstration conducted under block with the help of BTT and AES members of various Agri and allied departments.  

Wochamo, A.O & BTT Convenor also spoke on the role of Farm teacher and its important role to be played in the farm school. He also highlighted the objectives and functions of a farm school. He also shared on the managemental practices of poultry and also elaborated how a poultry meat and egg is one item where all the section of the society prefers and consumes without any religious or social taboos. The programme concluded with a fruitful interaction. The programme was chaired by Yimobendang, ATM (ATMA) Kuhuboto Block.
