Tuensang, February 4 (MExN): ATMA Shamator block conducted training & demonstration on “Nursery bed management” at Shamator town on January 22. Resource person Ketholezo Kipu (ATM) emphasized that nursery is a place where seedlings, cutting and grafts are raised with care before transplanting. He explained about the details of nursery bed management. He explained the steps to be taken like advantages of raising seedlings in nursery which is very convenient to look after the tender seedlings, economy and valuable that can be raised effectively without any wastage, preparation of nursery selection of site, area should be near to the water source, selection of soil which should be medium texture, loam (or) sand loam soil is preferably by 15-25 cm. The programme was chaired by Yimobendang BTM.
