Mokokchung, June 24 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Tsurangkong block, Mokokchung conducted training and demonstration from June 11 to 14 at Watiyim, Longphayimsen, and Chungtiayimsen villages. Trainings were conducted on vermicomposting and pest management techniques, while demonstrations were given on mulching, integrated pest management on maize, and utility of mechanical traps, informed a press release received here. At Watiyim village on June 11, resource person Lipokrenla, Assistant Technology Manager (ATM) trained the farmers on vermicomposting and ATM Zulutoshi conducted demonstration on mulching. Vermicompost were distributed to the farmers at the programme.
Block Technology Manager (BTM) Moanukshi demonstrated on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) on maize at Chungtiayimsen village on June 12. ATMA Tsurangkong block also formed a Food Security Group at Satsükba village on June 13, wherein BTM Moanukshi encouraged the farmers and highlighted about the work activities.
Meanwhile ATM Nungshiyangerla trained the farmers on pest management techniques and also demonstrated on the utility of mechanical traps at Longphayimsen village on June 14.
