Mokokchung, May 4 (MExN): ATMA Tsurangkong block, Mokokchung conducted training, demonstration, field day and group mobilization of farmers from April 24 to 27 at Aokum, Longphayimsen, Moayimti and Chungtiayimsen villages.
The training was conducted on value addition of horticultural crops and Oyster mushroom and demonstration on soil conservation and use of bio control agents.
Resource persons ATM Nugshiyangerla trained the farmers on Oyster mushroom at Longphayimsen on 25th April and distributed mushroom spawn. ATM Lipokrenla and Nungshiyangerla trained the farmers under the topic value addition of horticultural crops at Moayimti village on April 26.
While ATM Zulutoshi conducted demonstration on soil conservation at Aokum Village on 24th April where method demonstration were given on perimeter runoff control.Wherein BTM Moanukshi demonstrated on use of bio control agents at Chungtiayimsen village on April 27 and distributed trichoderma to the farmers.
On the field day ATM Lipokrenla discussed management practices of Tea plantation at Aokum Village on April 24 wherein BTM Moanukshi discussed Production technology of maize at Chungtiayimsen Village on April 27 and distributed maize seeds to the farmers.
ATMA Tsurangkong block also organized mobilization of two Self Help Groups (SHGs) from Aokum and Chungtiayimsen villages wherein Seed Money was provided to Teyonglatsur SHG from Longphayimsen village. BTM Moanukshi encouraged the SHGs to use the seed money judiciously in furthering their work activities.
