ATMA Wokha inducts new BTMs, ATMs

Wokha, August 12 (MExN): ATMA Wokha organized District Farmers Advisory Committee (DFAC) meeting-cum-induction of new Block Technology Managers (BTMs) and Assistant Technology Managers (ATMs) at Fishery Training Hall, Wokha on August 12.  

Dr. Mhonchan, Deputy CVO & Project Director, while delivering the keynote address said that as agricultural extension agents “our main goal is to deliver agricultural knowledge and technology to the farmers.” Therefore, he encouraged the fresh and young BTMs and ATMs to work in tandem with the old supporting staff as a team to effectively fulfill the goal, a press release informed.  

In the induction course, Subenthung, DPD spoke on organizational structure of ATMA and cafeteria of activities, Yanglen, DPD spoke on specialist & functionary support staff with reference to duties/responsibilities of BTM, Dr. Tiatula, BTM on farm school concept, duties/responsibilities of ATM, Dr. Mhalo on farmer friends, and Khyothungo, BTM demonstrated on the use of PICO.  

In the first session, Yanglen chaired the DFAC meeting and explained to the members the duties of DFAC. The induction programme was chaired by Dr. Mhalo, while Sanchibeni, ATM welcomed the inductees and Precila, ATM pronounced vote of thanks.
