AVUD offers condolences

Dimapur, January 25 (MExN): The Aghunato Village Union Dimapur (AVUD) has deeply mourned the demise of its member Zukhevi Achumi, Rtd Assistant Commandant NAP who passed away on January 23 at his residence, Dimapur after a prolonged illness.

 


“He was a renowned Naga footballer, who played for Nagaland Police (IGP team) as well as Nagaland state and brought many laurel to the state,” said a condolence message from the AVUD.

 


He was also awarded 'Mister Mokokchung' title in 1966 during the Nagaland Police meet in Mokokchung, the message added. The AVUD said his contribution towards the Union will always be remembered and extended deepest condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family members.

 


The AVUD further expressed grief on the demise of Khehovi Yeptho, GB Lukikhe, (Aghunato Village) Retired Sr HA, who passed away on January 23 at Referral Hospital, Dimapur.

 


A condolence message from AVUD President Ghokheyi Achumi and Secretary Mulato Katty said he served the government with utmost sincerity. “He was an upright man with a generous heart and a deep concern to uplift the people,” the message added. At this hour of grief, the AVUD conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for God’s comfort to all.
