Axis Bank opens new branch at Chumu

Morung Express News Dimapur | July 27   Axis Bank on Wednesday opened a new branch at T Shuya Complex, Chumukedima, along NH-29 opposite to SBI branch office. With the inauguration of the new branch, Axis Bank has currently a total of eight branches in Nagaland state including four in Dimapur, two in Kohima and once each in Mokokchung and Wokha.  

Additional deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Elizabeth Ngully, who inaugurated the new branch, in her address described Axis Bank as one of the most customer-friendly banks and lauded the bank officials and staff for being “very helpful and always ready to assist the customers anytime.”   The ADC said opening of the bank branch in Chumukedima, the fastest growing town in the state, would be of immense help to residents of Chumukedima and also boost overall development of the town.   Elizabeth requested the bank officials to reach out to the grass root people as most often, banks tend to ignore this section and also to educate the common people on the various schemes and services provided by the bank. She further hoped that Axis Bank would make its presence felt in the area through it corporate social responsibility (CSR) schemes.   Cluster head, Dimapur Cluster Axis Bank Ltd., Madan Gopal Boro, assured the bank’s customers that the bank is not only a “taking bank” but also a “giving bank.”   Chairman, Chumukedima Village Council, Razouvotuo Chatsu and the building owner of the bank premise, T Shuya, also spoke on the occasion.
