Dimapur, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): Along with the rest of the country, the District Health Agencies of Longleng Peren, Wokha, Zunheboto and Phek also launched their district level Ayushman Bharat- National Health Protection Mission/Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-NHPM/PMJAY) on September 23.
At Longleng, the program was chaired by Dr Wannau Phom, District Nodal Officer (AB-NHPM) District Hospital Longleng who spoke about the key features of the mission, beneficiary eligibility and verification, empanelled hospitals, requirements for beneficiary identification and verification.
In Peren, the DC, S Tainiu appealed to the public leaders, NGOs, students and youth to co-operate for the successful implementation of the health oriented programme. Wokha DC, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, said that with the launch of this scheme many unprivileged poor patients will be benefited.
Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Shanavas C stated that quality health care should be provided to everyone and all should work hand in hand, and encouraged the community to give strong hand holding support to the Department. In Phek, Deputy Commissioner, Orenthung Lotha called upon the people to avail census enrolment in order to take advantage of the scheme.
