Kohima, November 28 (DIPR): The two-day Badminton Winter Challenge tourney concludes on November 26 at the Indoor Badminton stadium Kohima. The winter challenge was participated from various districts where there were four categories. The Veteran double first was bagged by Arep and Amardeep runners up by C.T. Jamir and S.D. Angami. The super veteran double first Bendang and Salang runners up Z. Lohe and Cüzota. In the mixed double Tarep & P. Rathana stood first and runner up C.T. Jamir and Ekumyala. The sub veteran double first was also bagged by Arep and Amardeep runners up Temjen and Yanger.
The closing ceremony was graced by Advisor MTF Dr. Nicky Kire as the chief guest and Chief Secretary Lalthara as the guest of honour. While addressing the gathering Dr. Nicky Kire said that sports is not only for enjoyment but through sports one can keeps healthy and strong. He further urged the parents to encourage the upcoming youngsters in the field of sports. Dr. Nicky also said that he was happy to see veterans playing with enthusiasm.
