The community life that we Nagas have should never get lost in our blind craze of copying the West. The Western Culture is Dog eat Dog world. The individualistic culture has led to creation of many loners. Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Criminologists, Police profiling teams, etc... have pointed that out repeatedly. Advanced Countries like America has produced mass shooters, some of the sickest serial killers are from advanced countries. In a country where fame and wealth is everything, where technology is so up there that there is no more human touch. A lot of mentally sick people are produced. Considering the frequency of mass shootings in the United States, criminologist and gun-control advocate Peter Squires says that the individualistic culture in the United States puts the country at greater risk for mass shootings than other countries.
The beauty of Naga Society is for example you share vegetables you got from your village to your neighbours, if you are sick not just your relatives but neighbours, Church members in fact even strangers will drop in, if someone in your family died during the funeral the love and support you get from so many people who turns up (In stark contrast sometimes a funeral in America will see only 4 or 5 people gathered , sometimes even less ). I hope you got the point now.
Let me repeat, let us not lose our culture. Let us not lose the close Naga community life. It is beautiful. In fact , the West for once should stop preaching and sometimes learn some few things from us. Everything American, Japanese or Korean is not healthy.
