#BeBoldForChange

Kohima, March 8 (MExN): Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8. The programme was chaired by David Phom Student-Teacher, followed by an ode to Women by Kevin Student-Teacher of 2nd semester.  

Devanand Sinha, Principal MITE delivered a speech on the theme for International Women’s Day, focuses on ‘Women in the Changing World of work: Planet 50-50 by 2030’ with the theme campaign #BeBoldForChange. He encouraged the male student-teachers to move forward in favour of the female counterpart to make every workplace with 1:1 ratio of man to woman.  

The programme was organized by Literary Club and extempore speech related to women empowerment was held. The men of MITE conducted the programme for the women folk enlightening the women about their importance and value in society.
