Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) in collaboration with Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) distributed 40 beekeeping boxes to the beneficiaries at United Colony, ward no. 20, Dimapur on July 10.
The distribution programme was organised under the banner of ‘A Better Dimapur’.
Chaired by Kenneth Tsopoe, general secretary, Dimapur District GB Association, the programme had Ntsemo Ngullie, chairman, NBHM as special invitee, informed a press release.
Ngullie encouraged the gathering and educated unemployed youth to take up the mission seriously and upgrade beekeeping to a commercial and scientific level as it is beneficial with less expenditure.
He further appealed to the educated unemployed youth to avail of the opportunity as no government of the day can afford to provide government job to every individual.
He also highlighted that the Naga honey has been applauded all over the world as the best honey and the demand is rapidly increasing. However, it fails in large production and the honey could not be supplied enough as per the requirement, Ngullie lamented.
