BJP Nagaland today organized interactive session with students and youth under the banner of “Bharat Ki Baat- Modi Ki Saath” here at Hotel Japfii with Dr Sanjay Paswan, former union minister for human resources development as speaker and Nagaland state BJP vice president Dr Sukhato A Sema as moderator.

The interactive session was part of an exercise to gather inputs and suggestions across the country for inclusion in the BJP party manifesto.
Addressing a press conference after the interactive session, Dr Paswan, who is also member of BJP Manifesto Committee, said the students and youth shared their feelings and perception how BJP party can be made more inclusive.

He said the BJP is trying to make its manifesto as people manifesto rather than party manifesto.

Dr Paswan said the four and haft years of BJP led NDA government is focusing on inclusiveness.

He said the BJP is also focusing on how the original ethos of “this great country” can be maintained and sustained and how other things can be added to it.

During the interactive session, he said that 12 groups was formed and discussed over the factors of farmers, youth and sports, women, inclusive development, governance issue, entrepreneurship, industries and tourism, infrastructure and water resources, education and skill.

“We have discussed with the students how skill university and skill college can be set up here in Nagaland and in Kohima,” he said.

Other one is the national security, saying that illegal immigrant is a big issue for us.

He said all these categories are to be addressed “so we are trying how all these issues could be accumulated, compiled and accommodated in the party manifesto which we are trying to envisage as people manifesto.”

He said that BJP leaders have been sent to the different parts of the country since the last 15 days to gather the ideas and suggestions from the masses.

He said the party is trying to do what is durable, deliverable, possible and doable.

In Nagaland, Dr Paswan said that he got so many insights and inputs which is going to be virtually people manifesto.

He said that out of 10 page BJP party manifesto, one page will be dedicated to North East.
