DIMAPUR, MARCH 11 (MExN): The 17th Annual Sports Week of Bethesda Higher Secondary School (BHSS), Dimapur was held on Wednesday, March 11. It was hosted at the Bethesda New School Complex. A press note from the principal of the school stated that the District Education Officer, Dimapur Asono Ndang graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The note stated that the chief guest in her address appreciated the school’s initiative of organizing physical activities for the students. It quoted the DEO as stating that the saying: ‘All work and no play make Jack a dull boy’ applies to one and all. “Education does not mean merely the academic performance but all round development where alongwith academics, cultural, emotional and physical development are equally important.” “She opined that discipline is essential in one’s life and sports persons are more disciplined because they abide by the rules and regulations of each and every event in sports.” Expressing her appreciation on the colourful items exhibited by the students, she reminded the students of the school’s motto – ‘Serve with love & shape the future’ and asked them to exhibit it in letter and in spirit, the note added.
