A group participating in the Bible skit competition organised by Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur and held on September 2.
Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): The Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, organized a Bible skit competition for the children and youth of various villages, hostels and orphanage homes on September 2.
The function held at Bernick’s Hall was graced by Fr. Nazarius, Vice Provincial of Dimapur Province as the chief guest. Altogether 15 groups registered for the competition which was witnessed by around 300 people.
In the English-speaking section, the Ebenezer Orphanage emerged as the champion, Infant Jesus Church, Lotha and Samaguri Village as the first and second runners up respectively. In the Hindi-speaking section, Khatkhatti Oratory was the champion, Chekiya Adivasi and Burma Campa came as the first and second runners up.
All the groups exhibited very well their creative skills and talents. “The competition on the themes from the Bible enabled the youth and children to reflect and put into practice the good values and teachings of Christianity which are based in the bible,” a press note from the organizers added.
