Biometrics enrolment at Kohima underway

Kohima, June 27 (DIPR): Enrolment for biometrics started at Kohima on Monday, June 27 for residents of WARD-0001 (HIGH SCHOOL) under Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) at Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima. The biometrics enrolment will go on till June 29 and starts from 7:00 AM onwards.
During the Biometric Camps, Photographs, Iris Images and Fingerprints are being collected for ages 5 (five) years and above. In addition, residents are also asked to furnish information on their Driving License Card, PAN Card and Passport Number, if available.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Bei-u Angami, the list of ‘Usual Residents’ will thereafter be compiled and displayed in the respective Village/Ward for the residents to check and verify its correctness. They may be alert to check any errors and file claims and objection, if any, with the Local Registrar.
All residents have also been requested to bring along the NPR Acknowledgement Slips issued during the 1st phase of Census 2011 and NPR exercise conducted during June – July 2010. The National Population Register (NPR) scheme is being undertaken as per the provisions of the Citizens Rules of 2003 (Registration of Citizens and issue of Identity Cards) for which data collections have been completed.  Biometrics data entry for Botsa Village under Chiephobozou Sub – Division will start from June 28.
