BJP 2nd phase booth-level workers’ training concludes

Zunheboto, January 25 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland unit has concluded its second phase of booth-level workers’ training programme. It ended with a training at 31 Akuluto A/C of Zunheboto district on January 18,   More than 350 people attended the training, which was led by BJP Booth Level Training Convener K. James Vizo; State BJP Secretary Lima Onen Chang, Legal Convener H. Makum; and Co-convener of BJP Media Cell Yanghose Sangtam, informed a press release from BJP Nagaland Media Cell.

Addressing the gathering, K. James Vizo said BJP’s basic philosophy is “Integral Humanism” and the party is committed to nationalism, national integration and believes in value based politics. For BJP workers, it is a political platform to serve the people, the State and the nation with development agendas, he stated.

Unlike others, Vizo said, BJP is a party with a difference as “it is cadre based and is expected to maintain discipline with dedication and loyalty in the system.”

Beside the history of BJP and its organisation, booth level workers’ duties and responsibilities were made known to the members, according to the press release.

Meanwhile, Lima Chang maintained that BJP is committed to development agendas and has nothing to do with religion. It rather believes in positive secularism, aims for corruption-free with total development and performing system, he added.

Yanghose Sangtam explained the various flagship programmes launched during the three years of BJP government under Narendra Modi focussing on the downtrodden section of the people. “For Nagaland State too, to achieve maximum benefits the party workers need to work harder so that we get into the system. Then only changes will become reality and the deserving people will bear the fruits,” Yanghose said.

H. Makum clarified the “misconceptions” towards the party regarding accusation of it being anti-Christian and communal, the press release noted. “These are all political propagandas by our rivals just to tarnish the good image of the party as our opponents do not have any other talking points,” he maintained.
