BJP govt seriously concerned for early & lasting solution to Naga issue: Ramlal

Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): National BJP general secretary (Org) Ramlal has maintained that BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seriously concerned for early and lasting solution to the Indo-Naga political issue, according to a press release from BJP Nagaland Media Cell.

“Only with peaceful atmosphere, development will move faster in the State,” he maintained while speaking to BJP State office bearers, core committee members and all State frontal presidents and secretaries at BJP head office in Kohima on November 17.

Ramlal, who is touring Nagaland from November 17-19, further stated that the present NDA government under Modi has undertaken various innovative steps and measures for the welfare of the poor, oppressed and unprivileged section of people for the development and to make the nation a “new India”.

He asserted that BJP’s top priority under PM Modi is to deliver development and good governance to the people of the nation and State like Nagaland. He refuted the rivals’ claim that BJP is against minority (tribal) or any religion/Christian, the release stated. “It is all political propagandas to tarnish the good image of popular Modi and BJP,” he added.

Later in the evening at Japfü Hotel, an intensive meeting was held with the BJP legislators, where strategies were discussed and the feedback on the government and organisation were reviewed.

Earlier on November 17 in Dimapur, the national BJP leader held a slew of meetings with various BJP State level cells & departments’ conveners and co-conveners, two booth level committees of 53 & 62 under Dimapur-2, business community and senior party members. Ramlal is accompanied by Ajay Jamwal, general secretary (Org.) for North East for the tour.

The press release mentioned that the party is gearing up for the assembly elections scheduled to take place next year in Nagaland and Ramlal's visit is being viewed as a wake-up call for the party leaders and workers.
