Longleng, January 20 (MExN): The Longleng district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently toured several villages in the district and held consultative meeting with the village councils regarding the forthcoming Nagaland State general assembly election.
A five-member team of BJP Longleng district unit held meeting with the councils of seven villages under 49th Tamlu A/C – Tamlu, Ametchong, Kangching, Tangha, Amosen, Yongshei, and Yungja – from January 18 to 19.
Led by the unit president, B. Ajoy Phom, the team assured the councils that the forthcoming election will be conducted peacefully, free and fair as well as clean, informed a press release from B. Chemben Phom, BJP Longleng general secretary.
The BJP Longleng district also held a consultative meeting with village councils of Yongnyah, Chingong and Shemsang on January 15. A meeting was also held with E. Chungbemo Lotha, EAC Yongnyah, along with his staff later the same day.
