BJP reiterates party stands for development

Tuensang, December 3 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a party meeting at DUDA hall, Longkhim under Tuensang district on November 29.  

Speaking on the occasion, BJP legislator and Advisor Treasuries and Accounts, LM & CP, Dr. TM Lotha said BJP’s top agenda under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to deliver development to all irrespective of caste, creed, religion or tribe, informed a press release from Media Cell, BJP Nagaland. Providing a corruption-free government along with good governance is another priority of Modi, Lotha said.  

On Clean election drive initiated by NBCC, the BJP leader stated the party supports any such move that will eradicate corruption in the State. Regarding Naga political issues, he appealed to all to support the ongoing peace talk so that it will bring solution to the State. “The Naga people have suffered for decades and today all are seeking for peace and development in the State,” he added.  

Meanwhile, Imtilemba Sangtam, Minister for Co-operation, Relief and Rehabilitation and chairman, MARCOFED, said both Congress and NPF parties have ruled Nagaland for 15 consecutive years each and presently people in general have started complaining and yearning for a new political party to lead the State to a better future. “BJP is the only alternative party which can bring change and development,” he asserted.  

Senior BJP member K. James Vizo reiterated that BJP is purely a political party with a mission to deliver development for the people, the State and the nation. He refuted allegations that BJP is against Christianity and argued that many Naga BJP cadres and leaders have been working in the State BJP for more than two decades without facing any discrimination.
