Burma Camp fire: CM visits accident site

 

  DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 30 (MExN): Hours after the fire tragedy at Burma Camp bazaar, Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang on Saturday visited the accident site. Expressing his sadness over the unfortunate incident, the chief minister assured the affected families and elders of the area present at the spot that all possible measures would be taken up.   A press communiqué from the press secretary to the chief minister informed that an amount of Rs 10, 20,000 was donated as immediate relief for the affected families which was handed over to the District Administration.   A total of 102 families who lost their homes to the fire would get Rs 10,000 each from the amount even as Nagaland State Disaster Management Agency (NSDMA) and the District Administration have been directed to immediately start assessing the ground realities for further necessary actions, the press communiqué stated.
