Ahead of the Durga Puja festival, the Bengali Youth Generation (BYG) on Thursday acknowledged the sweepers and labourers of Dimapur Municipal Council at the latter office premises.
At a brief programme, the BYG said it was their first project and envisaged to have such programmes annually. DMC Administrator, H. Atokhe Aye lauded the BYG for coming forward in recognizing the DMC workers who put in tireless efforts to keep the town clean. He asked the DMC staff to be encouraged by such recognition from the public and work with renewed zeal and energy.
Later, the BYG distributed lunch packs to the sweepers and labourers.
