Cabinet approves Journalist Welfare Fund

Redesigned IPR website launched  

Kohima, September 29 (DIPR): Secretary IPR, T Ao, IAS on the sideline of a launching event in Kohima today announced that “the long awaited Journalist Welfare Fund has been approved by the Cabinet.” The Secretary IPR formally launched the redesigned official website of the Department of Information & Public Relations on September 29 at the IPR Citadel Conference Hall, Kohima. Director IPR, Limawati Ao, who chaired the programme, said that IPR was one of the first departments in the state to have a website, however due to some technical issues the website had to be upgraded and redesigned. Stating it a milestone for the Department, Limawati said that the website is comprehensive and will be beneficial for everyone especially for media personnel, not only of the State but outside the State as well. Key modules of the IPR website will include VIP Profile, Photo Video Gallery, Naga News, Notification (Press Release/Announcement/Circulars/etc.), Article Publications, Archives, District/Festivals Profile with GIS Maps Integration, Downloads and Contact Directory.
