CABPF celebrates advent Christmas

Chümoukedima, December 3 (MExN): The advent Christmas programme of Chümoukedima Area Baptist Pastors Fellowship (CABPF) was held at Ao Baptist Church Chümoukedima.

As per a press release from CABPF, delivering Christmas greetings Dr SC Jamir, former Governor of Odisha said ‘Christmas is a time of happiness as it comes only once in a year and we should be positive towards Christmas celebration.’

Dr Jamir said that when Jesus was born, He brought humanity with Divinity, humanity and humility with him, thus He encouraged saying the congregation to adopt good example from Jesus and to be loyal and have good relationship with God.

Dr Jamir said from 1 Timothy 3:16 to be not like Herald, or the priest who where close but very far. He encouraged the congregation saying in the time of Christmas to be in the sight and touch with God both spirituality, morality going church, working for the church. He said the joy of happiness is within us and worship God with true heart and celebrate this Christmas.

At the same time, the speaker of the event Rev P Bonny Resu, former General secretary of Asia Pacific Baptist Federation (ABPF) in his address he said on the topic  “He came to save his people from their Sins" Matt. 1: 21.He reminded the congregation giving the example saying we are special people.

Pastor of Chang Baptist Church Chümoukedima Zachariah Chang leaded the program, Rev Manen Longkumer, CABPF president proposed the word of Appreciation while Pastor Robert Aley, general secretary of CABPF proposed the welcome note.

The programme included Christmas carol and special Presentations presented by Chümoukedima area Churches.
