Case Premier League concludes today

Morung Express News Dimapur | March 31   The inaugural edition of the Case Premier League will come to a close at the Police Ground, Chumukedima on Saturday.   Two matches are scheduled for the day with one of the matches being a potential decider for the winner of the league. Case FC takes on Nizams FC in the first game, while Trinity FC take on STAFAC United Patkai in the second match.   HHH made a come from behind after registering consecutive wins in their last three matches to top the table with 15 points to complete their 8 games.   However, a formidable Trinity FC who were beaten in their last outing by HHH can win the league if they beat STAFAC United. Trinity are second on the table with 13 points.   Nizams FC and STAFAC United are joint third with 8 points and are level on goal difference at –5. Case FC are bottom of the league with 5 points.   Under the theme “Beyond Friendship, Beyond Fitness and Beyond Football”, the inaugural edition of the Case Premier league kicked off in early February at Patkai Christian College ground with five teams – Case FC, Nizams FC, STAFAC United Patkai, Trinity FC and HHH.   The unregistered football league, named after sponsors Case Constructions Dimapur, was started with the sole aim of promoting fitness and friendship through football for non professionals above 30 years of age.
