Case study on impact of shifting cultivation in Nagaland released

Zunheboto, January 14 (MExN): A case study on impact of traditional shifting cultivation in Nagaland under NAFCC project, a convergence programme of Soil & Water Conservation, Land Resources and Agriculture Departments at Zunheboto was released by Temjen Toy, Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland in the presence of Development Commissioner, APC and GM NABARD on January 14 at his conference room.


A DIPR report stated that the Chief Secretary called upon all the agri and allied departments to come together and work in convergence mode for better outcome of the projects to create positive impacts to the farming communities.  All the research and developmental works carried out under National Adaptation Fund on Climate Change programs are being highlighted along with the outcome of jhum field practices related to adaptation on climate change.
