Kohima January 19 (MExN): The 28th edition of Chokri Area Wrestling Association (CAWA) championship 2020 will be held on January 21 at 9:00 AM at Thenyizumi village local ground under Phek district.
Some prominent wrestlers like Venuzo Dawhuo, Vevohu Swuro, Vetuzo Dawhuo, Pfusato Tetseo, Besuhveto Cümu, and Thepukhoyi Swuro etc will be taking part in the wrestling meet.
A total of 40 wrestlers from ten units are expected to take part in the wrestling championship.
The champion will receive a cash prize of Rs 80,000 sponsored by the host village.
The first runner-up will win a cash prize of Rs. 60,000 sponsored by Advocate Veswupoyi Theyo, 3rd prize- Rs 50,000 sponsored by Thejongoyi Theyo, proprietor, Theyo Gas Agency, Chetheba and 4th prize- Rs 40,000 sponsored by CAWA.
MLA Khriehu Liezietsu will grace the inaugural function as the special guest while Nagaland State Lotteries director Zhothisa Dawhuo will be the guest of honour.
