CCEM conducts meeting on Clean Elections

Phek, July 20 (MExN): Trying its best to effect change, the Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM) along with 25 villages and 280 leaders under Phek Constituency and Meluri constituency (Chakhesang villages) met at Phek Town Baptist Church on July 18.  

Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo Executive Secretary CBCC, Mr. Kekhwengulo Lea, President Chakhesang Public Organization, Dr. KüzhopoyoTünyi, Convener Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM), and John Lohe, Co-Convener CCEM were the main speakers.  

During the meeting, the house unanimously decided to support CCEM and uphold the 18 points guideline given by the CCEM and NBCC after thorough deliberation, a press release from the CCEM informed.  

Further stating that CCEM is a movement of the Chakhesang community as a whole and is above any party, it appealed the people to cooperate with CCEM “and strive to bring a change”.  

CCEM also met with the Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Kovi Meyiese, and deliberated on clean elections. The DC appreciated the movement and assured to give his best to support the movement to see a change, the release added.
