Mokokchung, December 4 (DIPR): A lone empanelled member of the Institutional National Level Monitor on drinking water and sanitation under the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India, Manoj Dixit arrived in Mokokchung on December 2 to monitor the implementation of centrally sponsored scheme drinking water and sanitation in respect of Mokokchung district.
During his stay in Mokokchung, Manoj Dixit will be visiting a number villages to see himself whether the programme of the ministry are being implemented in accordance with the guidelines prescribed the ministry, to ascertain whether the selection of beneficiaries are transparent, unbiased and fair and to know, if any, causes for non-implementation of the programme.
Manoj today visited Mekuli village and will be visiting Yimchalu, Kangtsung, Anaki-C. Yajang-A and Aokum during his stay in Mokokchung.
Manoj said public hearing on implementation of the programme will be held at Commissioner Rest House, Mokokchung on December 7 from 9 to 11 AM. Any individual/group may come and meet him on the implementation of the programme at the mentioned place and time.
Manoj Dexit met the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal to apprise him of his official visit of the district.
Similar monitoring is underway at Longleng district from today. The Ministry has deputed Dr. Kailash Mondhe to undertake the task.
