Kohima, April 17 (MExN): Couples For Christ (CFC) Nagaland held National Conference with the theme ‘Solemn Charge’ on April 14 at Cathedral Kohima.
Rev. Fr. Lawrence Khing, Director NCYM was the main celebrant for Holy Eucharist Mass.
The conference covered sessions on ‘The Gift Within Us’ by Bro Chito Dela Cruz, ‘Called and Chosen’ by Bro Steve Maningat, ‘Proclaim the Word’ by Bro Cesar Cardenas, ‘Put up with Hardships’ by Bro Alfred Alejo, ‘Fulfill Your Ministry’ by Bro Cesar Cardenas. The closing remark was given by Bro Steve.
A press release from Mengukhrietuo Marcus, Chapter Head cum State Coordinator, CFC Nagaland informed that National Conference (NatCon) is a retreat organized yearly. “This sets the tone for the year or CFC directions for the year. The NatCon Retreat allows us to hear the Lord message for all of us on what he wants us to do or achieve for given year through the Theme from the verses that the Lord had given to our elders,” the release said.
The CFC theme for 2018, the Second Letter to Timothy, it stated, was written by Paul while in prison in Rome. “Paul knew that his ministry was coming to an end and this Pastoral Epistle depicts his courage and hope in the face of discouragements. It points to his preaching of the Gospel as a reason for his imprisonment and he offers Timothy, as a motive for steadfastness, his own example of firmness in faith despite adverse circumstances. The letter suggests that Timothy should prepare others to replace him as Paul has prepared him.”
