Chakhesang youth orgs uphold CPO ban order

Phek, May 16 (MExN): All the youth organizations in the Chakhesang inhabited areas of Phek district have “reaffirmed and upheld” the ban order of the Chakhesang Public Organization dated March 3, 2016, which is implemented by the Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF).  

Hunting, import of pigs, and burning of jungles are strictly banned by CPO throughout the year for preservation and protection of eco system in the area.  

A resolution to uphold the order was taken during coordination meetings of CYF held with all respective village, town and area youth organizations on May 11 and 12 respectively at Vamuzo Memorial Hall, Chozuba Town; Tourist Lodge, Pfutsero Town; and Town Council Hall, Phek Town.  

According to a press release from CYF, defaulters were summoned and convicted according to the rules and regulations of the CPO in the meeting and an Undertaking Agreement was signed for their violation of the law. CYF in the release appealed to the neighboring villages or districts bordering Chakhesang jurisdiction and the public of other districts to abide by the ban order.  

Meanwhile, it was informed that various issues being faced by the present society were thoroughly deliberated in the meeting.  

Lhuvesayi Lohe, president CYF highlighted the activities and visions of the Front. “Entailment for a new rising generation is the need of the hour to save our society from the different issues,” he said. Stating that self-employment should be encouraged to do away with unemployment, he added one must take up skilled and unskilled jobs to be self-sufficient.  

“Illegal immigration in the Chakhesang inhabited areas will be strictly monitored with the coordination of the district administration and other civic bodies,” he asserted.
