Chicks rearing farm inaugurated in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, December 2 (DIPR): A chicks rearing farm was inaugurated at Old DVO office, South Point (W), Zunheboto on November 30 by Dr. IP Khala, Director, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Nagaland as the chief guest.

The chief guest, in his speech, said the focus and objectives should be on chicks rearing and not on the building. He pointed out that many of the projects in Nagaland fail because the focus is on the buildings while forgetting for what purpose it is for.

The rearing farm will initially begin with 500 chicks even though the capacity of the farm is for around 2000 chicks. The farm will be entrusted to the farmers of Zunheboto district, the director said.

Earlier, the chief guest unveiled the monolith. The programme was chaired by Dr. Meyatoshi Aier, CVO Zunheboto. Short speeches were delivered by Khuvishe Zhimo, GB, South Point (W) Zunheboto and Hekishe Kiho, President, VFAA, Zunheboto.
