Chiechama village excommunicates one for life

Kohima, August 18 (MExN): The Chiechama Village GB’s Court has “excommunicated” on villager identified as Ruokuosalie Rio for the village life with “immediate effect.” The excommunication order was passed by the village GB’s Court on August 14 after he was allegedly found guilty of “injecting a person to death with ban drugs,” stated the order passed by Pukuolie Chadi, Head GB Chiechama Village. He was also found to be a drugs peddler and a regular drugs user, it said.  Meanwhile, the Press Secretary of the village Medo-u Sogotsu said that the accused not under police custody or in jail as the issue had been settled under customary court or GB court. As a result, no case was filed. The death reportedly occurred after the accused injected banned drugs to the victims, who later succumbed after an “overdose.”
