Children avail Escort and Home Based Allowances

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): A programme for distribution of Escort and Home Based Allowances for CWSN IED under DMA-SSA, Dimapur was held at EBRC Kuda, Dimapur on May 17.

DIPR report stated that Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol who attended the programme as special guest said every individual is God's creation and parents should not feel ashamed or disappointed to have children who need special attention.

District Education Officer, R. Amongla Jamir during her keynote address, also urged the parents of the children with special needs to have a positive attitude and to have faith in the abilities of such children and help them become assets for the society. 

The DEO also gave away the Escort and Home Based Allowances to 103 children with special needs present in the programme.  The function was chaired by ADC, DMA-SSA, Freda Angami.

Peren: Assessment camp for children with special needs was conducted on May 16 at EBRC Peren town. 46 children with special needs attended and availed the facility. 

Official team from SMA, SSA Kohima along with Starkey Lab Noida, NRRC Dimapur, Observers from Social Welfare Department, Sakhi contributed to the success of the camp. Talitemsu Jamir, MD SSA Kohima, Vinay Bhushan, Head IB Starkey Lab Noida, Supongwati Jamir, NRRC Dimapur, Temsumanen Jamir, SSA Kohima, Ramdi Thou Sr. DEO Peren, DMA (SSA) and EBRC Peren staff assisted in organizing the camp. The assessment camp was under the supervision and monitoring of DMA (SSA) Peren.
