Children’s Film Festival underway

Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The Children’s Film Society with the Directorate of School Education and Cinedarbaar has been organising a children’s film festival across the state.  The festival was kicked off on August 23 and will continue till August 30 covering Kohima, Wokha and Dimapur. CFSI’s Film Bonanza will showcase films like Kima’s Lode –Beyond the class directed by Zuala Chhangte (2015), Nokpokliba by Meren Imchen (2005), Goopi Gawaiyaa Bagha Bajaiyaa by Shilpa Ranade (2013) and Krish, Trish & Batliboy directed by Munjal Shroff and Tilakraj Shetty (2009).   Dr. Shravan Kumar, CEO, CFSI said, “We have been very active in bringing high-quality children’s entertainment to the North-East by way of exposing them to CFSI films for the last few years. We have seen many creative personnel from the North-East, being involved in various film making projects. CFSI Film Bonanza is one of the significant initiatives that CFSI has undertaken over the years to bring the North-East closer to the mainstream India. We will continue similar initiatives as we go ahead into the future.”  CFSI had earlier this year, presented the second leg of the 19th International Children’s Film Festival in Gangtok, Sikkim. More than a thousand students from Sikkim attended this festival and enjoyed film screenings, workshops, quiz, discussions and much more during the event.
