Chinese Government invites Indian nationals for Scholarship 2017

The Ministry of Human resource Development has released an official notification regarding online application process for Indian Nationals to avail the Chinese Government Scholarship 2017 under the India-China Cultural Exchange Programme for the academic year 2017-18. According to reports, the scholarship is for higher studies or research or specialised training in 16 different disciplines of Language and Literature, Science, and Humanities and Social Sciences streams.   All the interested, eligible candidates are requested to apply latest by April 1.   The scholarship will be awarded for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, general scholar, and senior scholar programmes.   Educational qualifications: Undergraduate programme: All the candidates interested in applying need to be intermediate (class 12) pass from a recognised state board/university.   Postgraduate programme: The applicant should possess a graduation degree from a recognised institute/university and should not exceed the maximum age limit of 35 years.   Senior scholar programme: The applicant should possess a Master's degree or should be an associate professor (or above) and should not exceed the maximum age limit of 50 years.   Moreover, candidates must have minimum 60 per cent in the required qualification.   Further, candidates can check the value of scholarship and other related information on the Chinese Government website: www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or www.campuschina.org.   Important note: The selected candidates may have to undergo Chinese Language study for one year prior to undertaking study in the areas of their choice.
