Christ the King Church celebrate name feast

Kohima, December 1 (MExN): Christ the King Church, Kohima Village celebrated its name feast on November 26, where Rev. Fr. Keduoneilie Alex Vizo and Rev. Fr. Dr.Visosie-o Solomon Vizo were felicitated for the silver Jubilee of their priestly ordination.  

Rev. Fr. Dr. Salew Peter SDB, Parish Priest of Christ the King church, Kohima and Sr. Margaret BS also celebrated the silver years of their Religious profession. Most Rev. Dominic Lumon DD Archbishop of Imphal solemnised the celebrations by presiding over the Holy Eucharist and administering the sacrament of Confirmation to 22 members.  

During the Eucharistic celebration, 75 children received their first Holy Communion. Earlier, they were prepared by their Catechism teachers and they made their first Confession. Their family members and members of Christ the King Church, Kohima Village were spiritually animated by Rev. Fr. Avilhou Stephen MSFS for three days as run-up to the Feast.  

A press release received here stated that in the Diocese of Kohima, on the feast of Christ the King, Catechists, local pastors of various villages are specially honoured and prayed for. The Catholic Union of CKC felicitated the Catechists and Asst. catechists of the eight villages under Christ the King Parish.
