The students divided into four houses – Red, Blue, Yellow and Green – competed in various sporting events. It concluded on March 22 with the Red House emerging as the overall champions. Blue House stood second followed by Yellow House and Green House.

Meanwhile, Akumla Chuba, NCS, Director, Youth Resources and Sports, who was the special guest on the inaugural day, stressed on the importance of discipline and to learn from the qualities of success and failure.

She further noted that sports bring people together and urged to students to “learn to live together and respect one another with all our differences in a pluri-cultural world.”

“No sports person is above the rules of the game, likewise we should all learn to play a fair game in all stages of life,” Akuma added.

The inaugural programme began with a prayer of blessing by the Vice-Principal Sr. Melissa, followed by words of welcome by Fr. Paul, Rector and Parish Priest. The Principal Fr. Linus Lonuo pronounced the vote of thanks.

Later, the four houses marched rhythmically to the tunes of the AGC (Adolescence Girls Club) pipe band to kick off the sports meet.
