Christian Hr Sec School launches Atal Tinkering Lab

Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), an initiative of NITI Aayog and Atal Innovation Mission under the Planning Commission of India, was inaugurated at Christian Higher Secondary School Dimapur by R. Amongla Jamir DEO, Dimapur on April 28.

 A press release stated here that S. Moatemsu Walling, Principal CHSS in his welcome address briefed the purpose of setting up the ATL. He mentioned that CHSS is one of the only three schools of Nagaland to be selected in the first phase of the ATL project. He said that students of classes 6-12 would avail of the ATL platform to develop their innovative skills. He invited other schools to work together to achieve the objectives of the ATL mission.  

The chief guest, R. Amongla Jamir congratulated and expressed her happiness to the school management for the achievement of setting up the ATL and added that students should be given the freedom to come up with their own designs and that the lab should benefit the maximum number of students.  

S.K. Imran Ali, resource person from 3Dexter, who have been training a group of teachers the past week, while highlighting the workings of ATL said that ATL is a curriculum based lab provided by 3Dexter, a company that is involved in the designing and operation of mechanical and electrical tools along with electronic components used in robotics.  

Vote of thanks was delivered by Patricia Zhimomi, Vice Principal CHSS, special number was sung by Liishinai, prayers by Vezachilü Sakhrie and Razuono Miario and the program was chaired by Atuo Veronica.
