Jubilee Memorial College (JMC) on Saturday organized a poster competition on the theme ‘Clean Election’ at the college premise with Rev. Ponen Longchar, Pastor, Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo (MTBA) and Alila Chang, Asst. Election Officer as the special guests.
Rev. Ponen Longchar spoke on the importance of clean election from a biblical perspective, while Alila Chang briefed the students on the concept of Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
A discussion hour was also held where the students raised various questions based on the concept of clean election. The BA fifth semester was declared the winner of the poster competition. Election Commission office, Mokokchung sponsored the prize money.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Lanusangla, while the vote of thanks was addressed by Alemsanen; both are the college ambassadors for the Clean Election Campaign.
