CNSA flays Nagaland State BJP president

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 4 (MExN): The Central Nagaland Students Association (CNSA) has flayed the actions of the Nagaland BJP president Temjen Imna Along for the recent controversy over immersion of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ashes   In a press statement, the CSNA said that it was distraught with “insensitive behavior and callous approach towards the Christian faith.”  

By performing different rituals, the Association claimed that the BJP president had compromised his faith by bluntly in a ceremony of another religion which he could have “dignifiedly avoided.”  

The CSNA further stated that in pursuing “limelight” over the issue of Vajpayee’s ashes, he has hurt and provoked the religious sentiments of the Nagas.  

In this connection, the Association also demanded that the Nagaland BJP president own moral responsibility for over the issue and “resign with immediate effect with an apology.”
