CNTC asks NHIDCL for quality works

Dimapur, August 17 (MExN): The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has requested the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) to provide quality in the ongoing works in Nagaland State.   During a meeting with NHIDCL authorities at their office in Dimapur, the CNTC reportedly warned that “no compromise will be made on the workmanship” of projects. This was informed in a press release today from the CNTC Media Cell.

The CNTC also stated that it supported the Lotha Hoho demand to the Chief Engineer (NH), NPWD, for furnishing details of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), copies of sanction order and work orders.

The CNTC apprised the NHIDCL not to sublet works to local contractors on the Wokha- Merapani NH/789 as “it is the public who are always at the receiving end for failing to adhere to the guidelines and specifications laid by some unscrupulous contractors.”

The NHIDCL reportedly assured to provide the quality works and informed the CNTC they will not fail the people of Nagaland. Regarding the four lane of Kushiabil-Patkai stretch, NHIDCL is said to have assured that it will be completed within the stipulated time.

The CNTC further asserted that no organization “be it overground or underground” should disturb any ongoing developmental works in the State. The CNTC assured to provide all support to NHIDCL, also against “any elements which are anti-development and anti-people.”
