Dimapur, August 12 (MExN): The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has re-endorsed the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) members from the CNTC to pursue the pending demands on the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and matters till it is accomplished keeping focus on the original JCC demands without any political agendas or involvement in it. This was decided at a meeting of Dimapur based federating units of the CNTC, namely Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur, Lotha Hoho Dimapur and Western Sumi Hoho at the Lotha Hoho Ki on August 5. The CNTC media cell informed in a press release today that it supports the demands of the JCC for the revocation of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly resolution dated November 24, 2016 on the ULB issue. It also demanded the report of the Joint Inquiry Committee from the Nagaland State Government within two months time period. The CNTC further called for an early amendment of the Municipal Act 2001.
