Kohima, August 2 (MExN): The Young Badminton Talent Search Cum Coaching Camp for Under- 15 boys & girls got underway today at Pfutsero Town under the aegis of Phek District Badminton Association (PDBA) as part of its catch them young initiative. Currently 16 players have registered for the coaching which has Kewetso Mero volunteering as coach. On its launching programme on August 2, Vechikhoyi Lohe, Principal GHSS Pfutsero and President Pfutsero Badminton Association exhorted the young badminton aspirants to take the game seriously to become professional players. The players were also encouraged to use their time wisely as sportspersons so that it will not affect their studies. Kelhikha Kenye, president PDBA briefing the players about the coaching camp thanked the coach for his service to the Association. The coaching camp will continue till August 14. Meanwhile, the PDBA will conduct talent search sub-division wise for the Phek district by this year. The present coaching initiatives of PDBA is being supported by the DPDB Phek.
